What Is Therapeutic Riding?

Therapeutic Riding is defined as Benefits of Riding as a Therapy:

-Provides healthy exercise that the disabled cannot get independently.

-Strengthens muscles and improves physical health, which can increase Life expectancy.

-Strengthens muscles to prevent bone weakness and joint dislocation.

-Improves quality of life through participation in an activity that both challenges capabilities and instills a sense of accomplishment and self-esteem.

-Approaches Therapy through recreation, which is very motivating and it stimulates progress through acceptance of a gentle horse, interaction with peers and a mastery of a sport that is fun and can be enjoyed for a lifetime.
